After a night of great drama in the Premier League on Tuesday, Wednesday should offer much more action up and down the table.
Tuesday’s action featured plenty of goals and controversy with VAR, with the Wolves battling to beat the nine-man Arsenal, which saw David Luiz and Bernd Leno sent off on a miserable night in Molineux. The Gunners are appealing Luiz’s red card, although the immediate result left Mikel Arteta’s team in 10th place.
Sheffield United beat teammates West Brom 2-1 to raise hopes of an unlikely relegation escape act, while Crystal Palace won 2-1 at Newcastle, but the evening’s draw came at Old Trafford when Manchester United equalized a League record with a 9.-0 thrashing of nine-man Southampton.
Tonight’s five games have a lot going on after that excitement, but leader Man City turned away from rivals United when they beat Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor. Fulham lost 2-0 at home to Leicester City, Everton travel to Leeds United, champions Liverpool look to continue their good form with an Anfield clash against Brighton, while West Ham will look to get back on the winning track as It could be a lively gathering at Aston Villa.
