Report on Magashule not urgent, says ANC

JOHANNESBURG – A leaked report recommending ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule to step aside is not urgent enough to warrant a special NEC meeting. That’s according to the ruling ANC.

His Integrity Commission report warns Magashule to vacate his office immediately and is scathing in his criticism of the ANC NEC.

The Integrity Commission says the ANC NEC is afraid to act against Ace Magashule and avoids implementing its resolutions.

The ANC has condemned the leaking of the report and says it will not comment on its recommendations.

“In fact, we will call upon members of the ANC, and all others in a position of responsibility in the organization, to desist from leaking information that could otherwise sponsor divisions in the organization,” the ANC spokesperson said , Pule Mabe.

Despite the report calling for Magashule’s immediate suspension if he refuses to step aside, the ANC says there is no rush to call a special NEC meeting to discuss it.
