Real Madrid will allow Gareth Bale to join Manchester United for just £ 18 million, reports say. The Wales international is being considered at Old Trafford amid the club’s troubles when it comes to landing Jadon Sancho. And, with their fees so low, the Red Devils can make a splash.
Real Madrid beat Manchester United with the signing of Bale in the 2013 summer transfer window, paying a whopping £ 86 million to land the Welsh international at the time.
In the years since, the Red Devils have repeatedly tried to bring him back to the Premier League.
But, every year, the La Liga giants have refused to sell. Bale has been a good asset throughout the years, helping the club win four Champions League titles as well as two league crowns.
Now, however, things have changed.
Zinedine Zidane does not rate Bale and is eager to remove the former Tottenham star from the salary account, particularly with Los Blancos looking to sign Kylian Mbappé in 2021.
And Mundo Deportivo says Real are ready to ditch the 31-year-old for just £ 18 million.

“I tried to leave last year but they blocked everything at the last second. It was a project that excited me but it did not materialize.
“There have been other cases in which we have tried to go, but the club does not allow it or they have done something. It all depends on the club.”
United legend Patrice Evra revealed earlier this year that Sir Alex Ferguson was hoping to sign both Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo before his retirement.
But, in the end, none of the players arrived.
“You know, you talk about the most difficult moments [in my United career]I would say maybe this is the one, ”Evra told the UTD podcast.
Premier League deals: all transfers confirmed in the summer window so far
“Two weeks before that, I remember a lot of media saying that Ferguson might be retiring next year, and he said, ‘Patrice, I will never retire. I’ll be here another 10 years. ‘
Then he said: ‘My goal is for him to be 99% sure that we will have Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. I only need these two players to win the Champions League again. Ninety nine percent.
“And to be fair, when I talk to Cristiano, I ask him and he said yes to the manager, and that he was coming to join United. He told me this “.
United, for now, remains focused on signing Sancho.
But it’s tricky, as Borussia Dortmund demands £ 108m to let go of their precious asset.
