JOHANNESBURG – President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver his Freedom Day speech by live stream on Monday.
Traditional Freedom Day celebrations will not take place this year with South Africans in confinement to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Speaking at the Bongani Bingwa Show on Monday morning, the chief justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng, asked South Africans to reflect on what they can do to build a better country.
“There are a number of positive things that have been introduced for our freedom under this Constitution. But it also forces one to reflect on what could possibly have been done differently, identify it, and start thinking about what we should be doing in the future. “
