People living in and around Johannesburg have been warned of severe thunderstorms, lightning, flash flooding and damaging winds, as heavy rains are expected in Gauteng on Wednesday.
The city of Johannesburg, as well as the South African Meteorological Service, said there was a high risk of mild to severe impact in parts of Gauteng. The storms are expected to begin in the early afternoon and peak at around 5 p.m.
