PSL changes dates for transfer window at the request of Mamelodi Sundowns

the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has changed the dates of the midseason transfer window for the current DStv Premiership campaign.

On Thursday the PSL confirmed that it had agreed to a request from the defending champions Mamelodi sundowns so that the transfer window forward two weeks.

“The second transfer window of the 2020/21 domestic season will begin on January 18, 2021 through February 15, 2021.” read a statement from the PSL.

“Initially, the second registration period (transfer window) was scheduled for February 1, 2021 until March 1, 2021.

“The amendment was necessary due to the need to accommodate the Member Clubs that have qualified to participate in the CAF Interclub Competitions and, furthermore, provide all Member Clubs and players with a degree of flexibility in the transfer market to the allow them to participate in the January universal window period. “

Other DStv Premiership clubs in CAF action this season include the Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic.

Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are in action in the CAF Champions League, while Pirates and Celtic will compete for the CAF Confederation Cup title.
