the Proteas They have suffered a severe blow on the eve of the One-Day International series against England with the news that Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out due to injury.

Rabada, who was not named to the Proteas team for the third and final T20 International at Newlands on Tuesday, has suffered a strained right adductor muscle.

The injury is expected to take around three weeks to heal and Rabada will be discharged from the team to begin a period of recovery and rehabilitation before the next test round against Sri Lanka.

The first test of that series is scheduled for December 26 at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
