JOHANNESBURG – The Democratic Alliance is prepared to press criminal charges against EFF leader Julius Malema and EFF deputy Nazier Paulsen on Monday.
This after a post on social media that says the party incites violence.
On Wednesday Malema tweeted, “Cowards move backwards. Attack of combatants ”followed by the image of a weapon on Twitter.
Since the government of @CyrilRamaphosa is very afraid to respond decisively, we are alone. The next apparition, all peace-loving South African and ground forces will be present, in defense of our democracy and property. Magwala to chechele morago! The fighters attack! pic.twitter.com/HIddc4gOV3

On Saturday, Paulsen made the same thing in a separate tweet.

The district attorney says his tweets are a response to protests by farmers in Senekal in the Free State last week.
The party says that statements are a serious offense by members of Parliament who are bound by an oath of office.
The party has asked Police Minister Bheki Cele to take action against the two and plans to press charges at the Cape Town police station on Monday.
