Calls for Prince William to become the next monarch in place of Prince Charles have intensified.
A former palace aide claimed that the Prince of Wales has too much “baggage” that makes him unable to take over the monarchy.
Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell spoke to Vicky Pattison on a podcast and echoed the monarchy’s already rising stance by skipping a generation and letting the Duke of Cambridge take over.
“I really want to see Prince William as king. Well it is the birthright of the Prince of Wales, of course, to become King, he has waited his whole life to do that job, “he said.
“His ex-wife Princess Diana said she didn’t think he was king because that job would give him too many limitations. He has a lot of baggage with him. Can I be controversial?” he continued saying.
“I am not a fan of King Charles and Queen Camilla, I do not feel like that. Personally, I would like to see Queen Catherine and King William on the throne with their beautiful family,” he said.
“If Prince Charles arrives and is over 80 years old, he won’t be there long, will he? Will he really climb the steps of the throne? He may be that old,” he added.
