During the Fortune’s Next Generation of Most Powerful Women Summit Meghan said she uses her voice to influence change as a way to make the world a better place, adding that she “couldn’t be proud as a mother” if she didn’t.
“You go every day, how can I make this world better for Archie?” she said. “That is a shared belief between my husband and me.”
For Prince Harry, says a source, it’s about giving Archie the life he didn’t have.

Harry and Meghan have talked about the joy they have found being home amid the pandemic, with the Duke counting Malala Yousafzai during her virtual chat last week: “We were both there for his first steps. His first race, his first crash, his first everything.”
Meghan added: “In many ways, we are fortunate to be able to have this time to watch it grow, and in the absence of Covid, we would be traveling and working more externally. We would lose many of those moments.
