On Wednesday, Netflix announced that it had struck a deal with Harry and Meghan to produce a series of shows for the streaming platform. These will reportedly include documentaries, movies, and children’s programming.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, a royal source said these could include an in-depth documentary about Princess Diana, the late mother of Harry and William.
However, they warned that this could create new tensions between the two brothers.
Diana died in a car accident in Paris a year after completing her divorce from Prince Charles.
The insider said: “The Sussexes are discussing making a documentary on the history and family heritage of Princess Diana.
“They are the first stages, but it seems that it could happen.
“It will function as a tribute to Diana and build on all the amazing charity work she has done.
“Netflix would love to do a documentary on Diana too and it’s something they’ve been pushing for.”
A new book about Harry and Meghan’s departure as royalty, ‘Finding Freedom’, was published last month.

Meghan and Harry announced that they planned to retire as senior members of the Royal Family in January.
Instead, the Duke and Duchess promised to become “financially independent” and said they would divide their time between North America and the United Kingdom.
The couple recently bought a new £ 11.2 million home in North Los Angeles.
The luxury property is complete with a swimming pool, tennis court and children’s cabana.
On Wednesday Ted Sarandos. Netflix’s chief content officer spoke about how pleased the company is to be working with the Duke and Duchess.
He said: “Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people around the world with their authenticity, optimism and leadership.
“We are incredibly proud that they have chosen Netflix as their creative home, and we are excited to tell stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.”
The news was also warmly received by Meghan and Harry themselves.
In a statement, the couple commented: “Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit, courage, resilience and the need for connection.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shed light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.”
