Prince Harry’s comments about widespread racism in the UK do not sit well with royal expert Robert Jobson, who criticized him for ‘relentless preaching’ with Meghan Markle.
Earlier, Harry had sent shockwaves to the royal family after revealing that his upbringing and upbringing did little for him to understand racism.
Commenting on the same claims, royal biographer Robert Jobson criticized Harry for having double standards.
Talking to True Royalty TV, Jobson said: “I remember him making racial slurs about an Asian officer who was filmed by himself and distributed by his friends and had to apologize for making racial comments.”
Jobson was referring to a video in which he mocked fellow soldier Ahmed Raza Khan by calling him “our little friend P ***.”
“However, on this occasion, three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without malice and as a nickname for a very popular member of his platoon,” Jobson continued.
“There is no doubt that Prince Harry was seeking in some way to insult his friend,” he added.
Harry, during an interview with GQ magazine, spoke about leading a privileged life and not being able to understand the racial injustices prevalent in the world.
“Once you realize or feel a little uncomfortable, then the responsibility is to go out and educate yourself because ignorance is no longer an excuse.
“And the unconscious bias, to my understanding, having the upbringing and upbringing I had, I had no idea what it was. I had no idea it existed,” Harry admitted on the podcast with GQ.
