The former chief of the British army has asked Prince Harry to return to the UK.

General Sir Richard Dannatt claimed that due to the Duke of Sussex’s decision to leave the British royal family, the veterans are likely to lose out.

He said this during an interview with Sunday People, adding that it was a shame Harry was no longer part of the armed forces charities that play a significant role in providing aid to veterans who were injured or in trouble.

“Harry and Meghan are very involved in other things and that is their life choice and I am not criticizing them for that,” General Dannatt said.

“But it means that he is not as available, that he does not so prominently support the work of charities and the needs of veterans,” he continued.

“I do not criticize him for that, he makes his own decisions, but we miss him and I hope that in a change of circumstances, which I cannot imagine, he will return to more traditional royal duties in this country,” he added.
