Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will be offered a seven-figure sum to produce podcasts for Spotify.
The couple, who resigned as high-ranking members of the British royal family earlier this year and moved to California, are under attack from the streaming service, which hopes to bring them on board with a lucrative deal.
A source told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Of course, money is not an issue. Meghan Markle will be more or less able to determine their price by working exclusively with them on a series of podcasts.
“The Duke and Duchess have been on your target list for a while and a detailed proposal will be submitted to Meghan’s agent in the United States in a matter of weeks.”
Meanwhile, Meghan, 39, recently revealed that she couldn’t be happier to be living in her native North America “for so many reasons” after moving to Santa Barbara with her husband and 15-month-old son Archie.
The former ‘Suits’ actress joined activist Gloria Steinem for a socially estranged backyard chat that was joined by her pet dogs Guy, Pula and Meghan told Gloria in a preview clip of their conversation that she was delighted to be back in the US.
Gloria said, “I’m so glad you’re home,” to which Meghan replied, “Thank you. Me too, for many reasons.”
The couple met to highlight the importance of voting.
Meghan said: “People forget how tough women like you and so many others are before you fought for us to be where we are now.”
And Gloria replied: “If you don’t vote, you don’t exist. It is the only place where we are all equal, the voting booth.
“What worries me the most are the young people, who I understand are the least likely to vote, and I can understand the feeling that they don’t think they have an impact.
“However, it is more important for them to vote than for anyone else because they will be alive long after me, and they will suffer the consequences.
