From Queen Elizabeth to Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton to Prince Charles, all the leading members of the UK royal family have done their best to reach out to people in their country who are fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
Recently, Prince Philip also issued a special message on Monday to express his gratitude to all those who do essential work in the midst of the pandemic crisis.
The prince released a statement on Monday acknowledging the vital and urgent work during the global pandemic.
The official Twitter account for “The Royal Family” said the Duke of Edinburgh is affiliated with more than 750 organizations, including the scientific, technological, health and infrastructure research sectors, that have responded to the outbreak.
Here is Prince Philip’s full message:
“As we got closer to World Immunization Week, I wanted to recognize the vital and urgent work that many are doing to combat the pandemic; those in the medical and scientific professions, in universities and research institutions, all united in work to protect ourselves from COVID-19.
“On behalf of those of us who remain safe and at home, I also wanted to thank all the key workers who ensure that the infrastructure of our lives continues; the staff and volunteers working in the production and distribution of food, those who maintain postal and delivery services, and those that ensure that garbage continues to be collected. “
