Prince Azim of Brunei has died. He was 38 years old.
The royal was the son of the Sultan of Brunei and fourth in line to the throne of the Southeast Asian nation.
He died on Saturday morning, and although the cause of his death was not revealed, Sky News reports that he had been in the hospital “for some time” and suffered from liver cancer.
Brunei declared a week of mourning following the news of the prince’s death.
Prince Azim was a film producer and well known in Hollywood for hosting big, star-studded parties, he reports. CNN. He produced movies like It’s not you (2014) starring Hilary Swank and The happy Prince (2018) with Colin Firth and Rupert Everett.
The prince was often seen with his many famous friends and acquaintances. He rubbed shoulders with the likes of Pamela Anderson, Janet and Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Naomi Campbell, and Joan Collins.
