A man suffered serious neurological injuries when he fell from a roof in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria, on Tuesday.

On Tuesday around 4:05 pm, Netcare 911 responded to reports of the drop, its spokesman Shawn Herbst said.

“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had fallen approximately eight feet from a ceiling, landing on his back,” Herbst said.

“The patient was found to have suffered neurological injuries and was treated at the scene by a Netcare 911 emergency care physician.”

Due to the nature of the man’s injuries, a Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance transferred him to a specialized facility to receive the care he needed.
