The Eastern Cape Provincial Police Commissioner has ordered a task force to be established to track, locate and arrest the perpetrators.

Eastern Cape police are looking for 11 suspects for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl on a soccer field in Tsolo on Friday.
The incident occurred at 10:00 p.m. at the New Homes location in the OR Tambo district, Eastern Cape Provincial Police spokesman Brig. Thembinkosi Kinana said.

“Other reports indicate that the four suspects were subsequently followed by others in groups of four and three, who continued to rape the victim.”
Kinana said that, however, it was unclear at this stage whether the group of suspects knew each other or had planned the crime together.
“It is also unknown whether they originated from the same place. The investigation is expected to uncover and reveal all the truths and motives behind this act,” Kinana said.

Eastern Cape Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga ordered that a task force be established to track, trace and arrest the perpetrators “of this heinous crime,” Kinana said.
No arrests had been made at this stage.
