Well, the unexpected happened.
Piers Morgan resigned from “Good Morning Britain” after facing criticism for his comments on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The announcer has left the show he has hosted since 2015, ITV announced.
They said he asked to leave the program with immediate effect.
The UK broadcaster confirmed in a statement late Tuesday that: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided that now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing more to add ”.
So @alexberesfordTV defend Meghan in @gmb and criticize @piersmorgan because of what he had said about Meghan’s mental health.

The past week has probably been one of the most stressful of his life for the announcer.
He was criticized not only for his comments about Meghan Markle, but also for his obsession with her and his rejection of her valid complaints of racism.
And this is something he hates: someone who disagrees with him and confronts him publicly. And the fact that three people of color have dared to do that has left him constipated with fury.
In her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Duchess Meghan relayed how there were concerns about the skin tone of her son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
She also revealed that she was suicidal during her pregnancy and did not receive the help she needed from the institution.
Morgan did not beat around the bush, choosing to lash out at the Duchess and Prince Harry for ‘attacking the monarchy’, for saying that Queen Elizabeth II is a racist and that Meghan was lying about her revelation that she was suicidal.

The announcer has faced backlash from social media and other broadcasters for his comments.
The UK broadcasting complaints commission Ofcom is investigating Monday’s episode of the show after receiving 41,000 complaints about comments it made after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In response to his comments on Monday’s episode, his colleague Alex Beresford, who is the GMB meteorologist, touched on how Morgan “ runs away on a regular basis and we all have to sit and listen ”, as he responds to his comments on the Sussex complaints.
“I understand you don’t like Meghan Markle,” Beresford said.
“You have made it very clear several times on this show, and I understand that you had a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off.
“I don’t think she said anything about you after she interrupted you? He has the right to interrupt you if he wants. And yet you keep throwing it away. “
Morgan had recently signed a contract that extended his contract with the show until the end of 2021.
During Tuesday’s show, Morgan addressed her comments, saying: “When we discussed this yesterday, I said that I don’t believe what Meghan Markle is saying in general in this interview, and I still have serious concerns about the veracity of much of what He said.
But let me put my position on mental illness and suicide on the record. These are clearly extremely serious things that must be taken extremely seriously, and if someone feels this way, they should receive the treatment and help they need at all times.
