Manchester United fans have been concerned about Paul Pogba’s form lately and statistics suggest there is a reason for their concern.
While the lack of good performances from the French talent can be explained by the lack of a proper preseason and the fact that he recently recovered from Covid-19, fans have never felt that they have always seen the best of him.
Indeed, after Pogba once again admitted that playing for Real Madrid is the dream, some fans felt he should move on.
The former Juventus player is now 27 years old and has only one year left on his contract, having returned to Manchester United four years ago.
Some feel that if after all this time the club is still trying to “unlock” Pogba, maybe there is something really wrong.

The obvious reason for the decline is the fact that Pogba has been playing deeper, but he doesn’t fully explain it.
After all, the academy graduate also played on a pivot with José Mourinho and, as noted above, he was still doing decent numbers.
Pogba probably hasn’t benefited from being at Manchester United during their most turbulent period in recent history.
Arguably, his ever-changing role isn’t helping either, but every time he joins his international teammates, he becomes a world champion once again.
