Paul Ince tells Manchester United star to leave club

Paul Ince has told the Manchester United star to leave after being dumped by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in recent games.

After a shaky start to the season, Manchester United have managed to find some form. Back-to-back victories against Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain were backed up by a difficult 0-0 draw against Chelsea last night. And while the Premier League isn’t spectacular by any stretch of the imagination, the ship has leveled off.

The improvement in results has also curiously coincided with the relegation of Paul Pogba to the bench and his exclusive use as an impact substitute. And will Solskjaer want to modify something that is working so well? Who knows?

Paul Ince believes the time has come for the Frenchman to leave Old Trafford. As reported by Metro, he said:

“I think his performances since he was here have been inconsistent. Paul Pogba is a world class player and when he moved to Old Trafford I thought, ‘great’.

“But everything he’s done has been a problem.

“The fans have turned against him and now Bruno Fernandes has entered and has shown what you have to do to be a Man United player.

“He has performed consistently and Paul Pogba has not and that is why he is on the bench.”

Paul Pogba has always been hailed as one of the best midfielders in the world. Unfortunately, he has never managed to show it consistently during his time at Manchester United. Yes, there have been glitters here and there. But above all, it has been unpredictable.

Another great thing with the French is that it has always seemed that he does not want to be in the club. Several times he looked like he was gone, but he ended up staying for one reason or another. With his contract exhausted, it may not be the worst idea for the club to search for interested clubs next summer instead of losing him for free.

So is Solskjaer already preparing for life after Pogba? Or is it just that he’s trying different tactics to see what works before bringing the French back into setup? Only time will tell.
