OUTsurance reveals taking Katlego Maboe’s ads ‘off the air’ had no financial impact on him

OUTsurance’s head of customer relations, Natasha Kawulesar, provided a statement to TshisaLIVE explaining that the insurance company decided to withdraw the Katlego ads to allow her family “space and time to address this matter.”

Natasha added that it was also important to note that Katlego was not an OUTsurance employee or a permanent OUTsurance contractor.

“He is a professional actor who is paid campaign by campaign. Katlego has received her full compensation from OUTsurance for all of the past as well as the current campaign she appeared in. This includes performance and total usage rates for the entire campaign. ”

Meanwhile, more than 62,269 people signed a petition to bring back television host Katlego Maboe after he was taken off the air following an investigation into the abuse allegations against him.

The petition to return Katlego to the television screen said that the presenter’s life had nothing to do with his personal life.

“If OUTsurance does not get Katlego back, South Africans will sign this petition to boycott OUTsurance until [they] bring the poor kid back to our screens, ”it read.

“This young man deserves a chance because he was not drunk, he was not abusing any woman or taking drugs in the public eye,” he said.
