Manchester United are reportedly negotiating the possibility of reaching an agreement to sign Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona without undergoing a medical examination. Dembélé has become an alternative target to Jadon Sancho with United apparently losing a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho was United’s number one priority all summer and they had a free run to sign the 20-year-old with no other club showing any real intention in talks with Dortmund.

Personal terms were said to have been agreed in July, but it was Dortmund’s asking price that proved too much for United.

They were not willing to pay the 108 million pounds Dortmund demanded, as they felt it was too much in the current financial climate.

There was some hope on Manchester’s red side that those demands would eventually drop, but Dortmund have stood firm in their valuation and repeatedly stated that Sancho will not be sold in recent weeks.
