Soccer star Oupa Manyisa’s marriage to his wife Johanna is fading as his illustrious soccer career.
Johanna has repelled the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder after accusing him of engaging in multiple extramarital affairs with different makhwaphenis.
The explosive details, which were kept secret, were revealed by close relatives of Johanna in an exclusive interview with Sunday World in Kempton Park, where the couple reside with their two children.
The disintegration of Manyisa’s marriage would be a blow to his stability, as it would come in the context of the sudden termination of his contract by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, leaving him unemployed after practicing his trade on the money spinning PSL for more of 10 years.
A relative, who did not want to be identified for fear of victimization, said that Johanna told them that her marriage to Manyisa, whom she legally married on October 28, 2014 in Edenvale Home Affairs, had been irretrievably broken.
“She said that Oupa behaved inappropriately, most particularly in seeking the company and services of women unknown to her.
“She claims that he went into at least one adulterous affair before his marriage failed and that he is currently dating another woman, whom he did not mention.”
Another relative also confirmed the collapse of Manyisa’s union, adding that divorce was on the horizon, as Manyisa’s wife already informed her lawyers to submit the divorce documents.
The relative also said that the divorce is likely to be as fierce as that of DJ Black Coffee and his ex-wife, Mbali Mlothswa, as Johanna demands a division of the property and about 100,000 rand in papgeld and spousal support per month of Manyisa.
“She demands R30,000 per month, which must increase by 10% annually and R46,000 in papgeld for her two children, which must also increase by 10% annually,” said the relative.
Family members said Johanna also wanted custody of the children, which Manyisa is likely to contest.
Manyisa said he had no idea what his wife was talking about. “She is the one who can answer the questions you ask me.”
