The Orlando Pirates have continued to strengthen their roster heading into next season with the acquisition of attackers Terrence Dzvukamanja from Bidvest Wits and Collins Makgaka from Baroka FC.

Dzvukamanja and Makgaka are joined by Bafana Bafana captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and Namibian international Deon Hotto, who were introduced by the club on Monday to the delight of their fans.

According to the club’s statement, Dzvukamanja put pen to paper after he agreed to a three-year deal with the Buccaneers, while details of Makgaka’s contract were not disclosed.

Reacting to the positive developments in his career, Makgaka expressed his satisfaction at the move to Pirates and promised to reward the Buccaneers coaching staff with strong performances for showing confidence in him.

“I am pleased to have joined the Orlando Pirates Football Club. I hope to reward the team for the faith they have shown in me, ”said Makgaka, 24.

The pirates will be busy next season as they will fight on both the national and continental fronts and coach Josef Zinnbauer is increasing his capacity to meet the challenges of competing in five competitions.

Finishing third in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) last season, the Pirates will participate in the Caf Confederation Cup, while Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs will play in the Champions League.

On the home front, the Pirates will participate in the Premiership, MTN8, Telkom Knockout and the Nedbank Cup, where they will seek to end a barren period as they have spent the last few years without a trophy.
