LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Click ads for hair: enough is enough
This comes after the EFF targeted Clicks stores across the country to protest the hair ad, which described the two black women’s hair as “dry and damaged” and “curly and dull,” but the hair of two white women as “fine and flat” and “normal”.
Clicks said that 425 stores in the country had been affected by the protests, but that it was too early to assess the nature of the damage caused by the vandalism. Some shops were burned.

Clicks made the decision to close all of its stores on Wednesday and then reopen on Thursday, News24 reported.
Clicks’ decision came after a Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg granted him an injunction against the EFF.
The health and beauty retailer said it will use Wednesday to interact directly with store personnel across the country and provide advice and support.
