Drugs destined for the South African market from Europe included MDMA (Ecstasy Powder) valued at R6.3 million and Ecstasy Tablets valued at R70,000 hidden within a furniture shipment.

It was a joint operation between the Hawks, the police’s Priority Crime Investigation Directorate (DPCI), Criminal Intelligence officers and SARS Customs officials.
