Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed to hint that he will not be looking to buy a center-back despite fans’ desire to see someone in that role.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are the preferred partnership at the moment and many fans feel that it is not working quite well.
There are those who feel that the Swede, who plays ball, is the weakest of the pair, while there are those who feel that the United captain is overrated.
Either way, most fans agree that it is a partnership that does not work and therefore they feel the need to see a new face appear, ideally RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano.
Unfortunately, the incredibly talented Frenchman does not appear to be available, so the Red Devils will have to wait, which is what Solskjaer seems willing to do.
Solskjær on whether central defense is an area he will address this transfer window: “We have a lot of good defenders here. Eric [Bailly], I put it to reinforce the defense, I follow the races of Trossard and Maupay. For me, we have enough good centers at the moment. ” #mulive [mu]

It is clear that Solskjaer is a fan of Eric Bailly and understands that the board seems to be against the idea of signing a center-back in this window, so he has accepted his fate.
In such a situation, it makes sense to try to keep the talented Ivorian as fit as possible and facilitate him in the starting eleven.
There are moments when it seems that Bailly is the best defender in the club, but what you have to prove is his physical condition.
Manchester United’s new star Donny van de Beek is the 13th Dutchman to play for the senior team. But how much do you know about the other 12? Take our questionnaire below to find out.
