This is despite the defendant telling the court on Friday that they are innocent and want an opportunity to address the court.

Five suspects, Khulela Themba Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Chris Mncube, Mthokoziseni Zifozonke Mapisa and Sifiso Ntuli, appeared in Boksburg Magistrates Court on October 27, 2020. They are charged with the 2014 murder of Bafana Bafana and the Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa. JOHANNESBURG – The NPA said it is certain that it arrested and prosecuted the right people in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case.

This despite the fact that the defendants told the court on Friday that they are innocent and want a chance to address the court.

The five men charged with Meyiwa’s murder made a brief appearance before the Boksburg Magistrates Court.

His case was postponed until next March to carry out more forensic investigations.

The defendants in the Meyiwa case stood firm in their innocence during court proceedings with one of the defendants, Mthobisi Ncube, who wore a T-shirt with the message “ask the people who were there, they know the truth.”

Sifisokuhle Ntuli’s brother said the arrests are suspicious.

“We cannot say much because we are not with him at all times. It seems that the truth is hidden, someone is hiding the truth from us. ”

He said that it is clear that someone is being protected.

“We don’t feel comfortable that all the people who were there the day Senzo was killed are not involved. They know what happened and they won’t tell the truth. “

The matter will return to court in March next year.
