Nikita Murray, the woman accused of having an affair with Expresso host Katlego Maboe, has released a statement detailing her side of the story. Murray confirmed through his attorney that he was tested for an STD and his results were negative.

Maboe is currently embroiled in a cheating scandal following the release of a video on social media that quickly went viral. In the video, his partner Monique Muller, who is also the mother of his son, accuses him of having an affair. Maboe admits to cheating on her and names Murray as the woman he was having an affair with. Muller further adds that he gave her an STD and that she may not be able to have another child because of it.

In a series of Instagram stories, Muller’s brother later alleged that the host gave him a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that caused damage to his uterus, and that this will affect his chances of having a child.

Maboe was temporarily suspended from his work as host on the morning show “Expresso,” and Outsurance has withdrawn its ads starring him.

Now, Murray’s attorney, Vincent Bergh of Liquor Law and Business Consultants, has issued a statement on behalf of his client and her husband Matthew. In the statement, he calls the accusations against Murray malicious and savage.

“Our clients are greatly disturbed by the wild allegations circulating in the media, involving Ms. Murray and her family,” the statement read, according to Times Live.

“Because of these allegations, Ms. Murray underwent a medical examination to confirm that you do not have a sexually transmitted disease. Mr. Maboe’s claims that Ms. Murray was the cause of him contracting the STD as accused by the person who made the video is therefore irresponsible and impossible. “

“We want to reiterate that our clients are happily married and have dealt with the effects of this malicious video in private. Their marriage is stronger than before, ”he continues. “They want to thank all of their family and friends and the public who supported them during these difficult times. We trust that he will set the record straight and no longer harass our customers. “
