JOHANNESBURG – Former Eskom board chair Dr. Ben Ngubane said Friday morning that Zola Tsotsi’s view that they were a Gupta board was disgusting and unfortunate.

Ngubane will appear before the state’s capture inquiry commission to continue testing this week on the power company.

Ngubane was one of the board members who voted against Tsotsi in 2015 after an investigation was launched and the executives were suspended.

The board accused Tsotsi of appointing Nicholas Linell to lead those processes.

Although the board had passed a resolution to appoint Linell, who was introduced by former South African Airways (SAA) board chairman Dudu Myeni at then-chairman Jacob Zuma’s farm in KwaZulu-Natal, another former member Board member Venete Klein testified Thursday that Tsotsi was a bully who wanted no one’s opinion.
