When asked for comment, the Nomcebo team said it was the responsibility of the venue to ensure proper health and safety protocols were upheld.
“If we are asked to perform, at any time and place, it is assumed that it is the owner or the management of the place who must guarantee the requirements of Covid-19. As a performer, Nomcebo doesn’t have the power to do all of those things. Where were the police if the place was packed? I don’t like people saying that she participated. He was unable to comment on whether Nomcebo raised objections when he saw the size of the crowd.
