Mzansi has split into two camps once again after news broke that the rape case that singer Lady Zamar opened against musician and former boyfriend Sjava was dismissed by the National Tax Authority (NPA).

On Monday night, Sowetan reported that the NPA dismissed the open rape case against Sjava on the grounds that they believed “facts or evidence do not support a successful prosecution. “

When contacted by TshisaLIVE, Sjava’s management said they had “no comment” on the case that was dismissed from the court.

Lady Zamar and her management also did not respond to TshisaLVE’s request for comment at the time of publishing this article.

SA was initially surprised to learn that Sjava and Lady Zamar were in a two-year relationship when they confirmed their separation. Soon after, it was confirmed that Lady Zamar had opened a rape case against Sjava.

At the time, she also wrote a long Twitter thread about the pain she had allegedly endured at the hands of an ex-boyfriend.

Answering to this, Sjava addressed the allegations of abuse and assault leveled against him and told his followers that he had filed a request for the matter to be heard in high court.

“As a final statement on this matter, I am writing to you as colleagues, business partners, peers, and supporters to inform you that I will not engage in assault and abuse issues directed against me on social media or any other platform.

“I have initiated legal proceedings in the South African high court and as such the matter is now sub judice,” he said at the time.
