JOHANNESBURG – Mpumalanga Prime Minister Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane apologized for what she called a “brief moment” of not wearing a mask during the funeral of Presidential Minister Jackson Mthembu in Emalahleni on Sunday.

She clarified the reason behind this, saying that upon arriving at the cemetery and disembarking from her vehicle, her mask was damaged and she did not realize that it had fallen off.
He said he thought the mask was intact, as had been the case throughout the process.
“The Premier’s aides quickly searched for a replacement mask that the Premier used during the remainder of the proceedings, her office said in a statement.
“The Premier has extended an apology to the people of Mpumalanga for that momentary lapse in which her mask fell without her realizing it or being aware of it.”
