JOHANNESBURG – Motsweding Kabelo ‘KB’ Molopyane’s FM radio host has died.

The SABC has confirmed the death of the station.

While details on the radio personality’s death are still unclear, it is understood that Molopyane passed away on Sunday morning.

Molopyane joined Motsweding FM in 2002 as a presenter, where he hosted various shows, including morning and evening driving shows.

SABC’s Mmoni Seapolelo said her ability to use Setswana for entertainment and sports commentary inspired many young people, drawing them into the medium of radio.

“He was such a versatile announcer that he went on to comment on football, rugby and cricket matches. He was also the host of the station’s Monday through Friday sports program and the weekend breakfast program. His significant contribution to SABC will continue to inspire all who knew him personally and professionally. “
