JOHANNESBURG – Health Minister Zweli Mkhize has again refuted the allegations by former Prasa chief Lucky Montana, who claimed he channeled a donation of R80 million to the African National Congress (ANC) during his tenure as party treasurer general. .

Montana said it had presented details of this transaction in an affidavit filed with the state’s arrest commission of inquiry.

Mkhize has called for these allegations to go through an independent process and said he fully supported the commission’s work.

Montana contends that Mkhize appointed people to receive and funnel money on behalf of the ANC from the controversial 2016 Prasa Swifambo tender.

Mkhize said these accusations were unfounded and provided an explanation in 2018 to the parliamentary portfolio committee of Public Enterprises.
