Fabrizio Romano has dropped a transfer bomb on Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United.

For years, transfer rumors have surrounded Paul Pogba at Old Trafford. It is arguable that the Frenchman has never shown his best form since moving to Manchester United from Juventus in a world record move.

However, since his contract is running out quickly, he is likely to eventually end up leaving the club in the next summer transfer window, as the Red Devils would be desperate to get something out of his game rather than letting him go free in the future .

While it has been one of the worst kept secrets in all of football, comments from his agent Mino Raiola seem to have virtually confirmed that his time at Old Trafford will be coming to an end very soon.

The very reliable Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news in his Twitter:

To be very honest, this is not as big a hit now as it would have been a few seasons ago. In fact, at this point it appears that Pogba is no longer part of Solskjaer’s first team plans.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January has been an absolute change in this regard. The Portuguese has had the kind of impact Pogba was expected to have on the Red Devils when he returned in 2016.

The Frenchman is currently sitting on the bench on most occasions and although he is still a large part of this squad, Donny van de Beek has adequate support in case he ends up leaving.

As a result, it could be the perfect time for the player and the club to part ways. It could even be a win-win situation. United are expected to get a significant transfer fee and can use it to further improve their team. On the other hand, Pogba will not be short of suitors with clubs such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona presumably interested.
