Mesut Ozil sends a not so subtle message to Mikel Arteta

Mesut Ozil has been excluded from Arsenal and the club made it even clearer that he is not in their plans when he was omitted from their Europa League team, but the German wants Arteta to remember that he is still a good player.

He has not played for the club since March and it looks like he will be until his current contract leaves or expires.

While Ozil is struggling to get into Mikel Arteta’s team, it wasn’t always that way. When Arteta was initially appointed head of the club, he supported Ozil to improve and placed the German in the majority of his team’s selection.

Ozil did not repay the faith that had been deposited in him and the Spanish has relegated him to the bench again.

He did not play any matches during Project Restart and despite stating that all club players have an equal chance of winning a jersey this new season, Arteta has not chosen the German so far.

Ozil has now taken to Twitter to show the coach what he might be missing.

The user, OzilThings, posted on Twitter a compilation of videos of Ozil’s exhibition under Spanish. the german retweeted with the legend:

“# Startof2020 ⚽️💥 #throwback # M1Ö #YaGunnersYa”
