Meghan Markle’s mistreatment at the palace and lack of freedom to speak for herself has been the talk of the town before.
However, the Duchess of Sussex had also made the low-key admission in front of Prince Harry, which was noted by some.
Royal pundit and journalist Sarah Sands claims in her column written for the Mail on Sunday that the Duchess once murmured, “Have I no voice?” quietly to Prince Harry during a royal event.
The comment was overheard by Sands and his colleague, who claim that the incident occurred during a broadcast in which Meghan was present with Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to Sands, the microphone was handed back and forth to the Cambridges and then to Harry, to which Meghan asked “coldly”, “Have I no voice?”
Sands further said that, “Meghan’s ‘ordeal’ in Britain was, in his opinion, the subjugation of her voice.”
“A colleague who was on a broadcast of the ephemeral Fab Four of the Royal Family, how moving it is to remember the two couples so happy together, remembers the microphone moving on the line: William… Kate… Harry. Meghan, at the end of the line, was not willing to wait, ”she wrote.
“‘I do not have voice?’ she asked coldly. “
As Meghan and Harry are now in the limelight with their new Netflix deal, Sands commented: “At last, she can be heard, loud and clear. It is obvious that she is delighted to be home again. “
