In its revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey Along with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle opened up about the royal workings that made headlines in recent years, including a story in which she brought Kate Middleton to tears.
“The opposite happened,” he told Oprah. “A few days before the wedding, I was upset about something, related to … the flower girl dresses, and it made me cry. And it really hurt my feelings.”
She added: “There was no confrontation and … I don’t think it’s fair for her to go into the details of that because she apologized and I forgave her. What was hard to get over was guilt for something I not only didn’t do It happened to me. “

Now, harper’s bazaar royal editor Omid Scobie, who is also the author of the Meghan and Harry biography, Find freedom, has revealed an email Meghan sent in connection with the claims.
Omid writes: “The couple’s exasperation came to a head in January 2020, when Kensington Palace urgently requested that Prince Harry sign a statement against an ‘offensive’ newspaper report that said Prince William ‘intimidated constantly ‘to the Sussexes before their decision to retire. “
Says Meghan allegedly emailed an aide, a source told her, why the Sussex side of the story wasn’t deemed important. He alleges that she wrote, “Well, if we’re just releasing any statement now, then maybe KP can finally clear things up about me. [not making Kate cry]. ”
“But, as with many requests made by the couple, their suggestion was ignored,” writes Omid. “The Duchess of Cambridge, they told her, should never be drawn into idle gossip.”
Omid’s comments come shortly after the palace said The royal family plans to address Meghan and Harry’s claims “privately,” while Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out on Thursday for a royal engagement when a royal reporter yelled, “Is the royal family a racist family, sir?”
“We are not a racist family,” William said, as he left with the Duchess of Cambridge.
