Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have come under fire from a royal expert who thinks that royalty shouldn’t look desperate for television projects.
The Duke and Duchess are currently under fire after Meghan made an expected appearance on America has talent to support a contestant who was wrongfully imprisoned for 36 years.
This prompted royal expert Katie Nicholls to fire Harry and Meghan for looking more like celebrities than royals.
Nicholls said: “They didn’t have their red carpet moment in Los Angeles, so what better way to harness the idea of community and show that they are behind young people than by attending one of America’s biggest shows?
“He certainly feels more of a celebrity than Royal. They are finding their way and moving forward, so we can expect to see more of this as they make a household name.”
Nicholls also expressed his thoughts on Harry and Meghan’s 100th Interview on Time, in which they urged the people of America to reject hate speech in the upcoming election.
“He has certainly made the courtiers nervous, as he disagrees with [Meghan and Harry’s] Roles like Royals. If they go down the route of backing a political party, they should renounce their titles. As members of royalty, there is an expectation that they behave within and respect the boundaries of the institution. “
He added that this indicates a “complete changing of the guard” for the Sussexes in terms of what we can expect in the coming months.
