The “Remembrance Day” images of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to draw criticism in the UK, days after photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit to Los Angeles National Cemetery surfaced online.
According to the UK’s Daily Express, the photos of the British royal couple have been labeled “tasteless and classless” by talkRADIO host Dan Wootton.
He thought the photos of Meghan and Harry were a ploy to get the queen off the front page of newspapers.
Speaking to The Royal Beat, he said: “Working for The Sun, our whole focus that day was on the Queen, Kate, Charles, William, Camilla.
“These images fell at 8 pm when all the newspapers are deciding what their covers are.” The direct result is that it pushed or shortened the photos of Queen and William, “he added.
The publication reported that another expert said the couple deliberately tried to “outshine” the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family with the timing of the Remembrance Day photos.
