It has been an extraordinary year for the 2020 class – tSchool closings, having to learn online, and then readjusting to the new normal by returning to the physical classroom.

Motshekga says her department will continue to support seniors in the best way possible.

“We launched a program called Woza matric. It is the best under one umbrella,” said the minister.

“There are professionals who have volunteered. Everyone has been supporting these children.

“I won’t be surprised if they perform better than previous years because of the support we’ve given them.”

Usually, insurers physically verify documents. But how will this year work?

“We can only afford to have a desktop evaluation of the whole process and do a virtual kind of visualization and quality assurance,” said Umalusi CEO Mafu Rakometsi.

“But when we have doubts, we will be forced to do the physical verification.”
