Beleaguered presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko and Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku have been instructed to remain on leave for two more weeks.
This after a marathon meeting of the ANC’s provincial executive committee (PEC), which ended abruptly on Monday, ruled that the integrity commission report that probed its link to a procurement scandal in the Gauteng health department was inconclusive. and needed more research.
The meeting, which heard heated discussions, focused on deliberating on a report by the ANC’s provincial integrity commission (PIC) on the scandal involving Diko, Masuku and his wife, Loyiso, who have been at the center of complaints from corruption linked to the award of a multi-million rand personal protective equipment (PPE) tender to Diko’s husband, Chief Madzikane Diko II.
