Master KG Responds to Split Comments from Ntsiki Mazwai ’50 / 50 Nomcebo ‘

After being a trend for hours thanks to Ntsiki Mazwai’s “suggestion” about the ownership of the hit song Jerusalem, Master KG has responded to the poet, questioning his motives behind the suggestion.

Taking advantage of his army of fans and strong Twitter presence, Ntsiki caused chaos in the TL over the weekend when he suggested that Nomcebo Zikode should pay the same as Master KG of the song. The poet reasoned that because Nomcebo wrote the lyrics and provided the voice for the worldwide hit, she “deserved” 50% ownership of the song.

Ntsiki believes that if the split was impossible, then Nomcebo should be paid as a session artist at least.

“Master KG did the beat. Nomcebo did the voices. That is a 50/50 split. I hope that Master KG will pay him for the session because it is just his song, ”he said.

While many joined in to support her point of view, others criticized her for being unreasonable and getting into things that have nothing to do with her. People questioned their knowledge of music and what it means for an artist to appear in a song, as is the case with Master KG and Nomcebo in Jerusalem.

Master KG also found Ntsiki’s remarks strange, considering that she has never expressed similar sentiments about popular songs in which producers or DJs feature female vocalists.

“There are so many songs in this world where people appear and I never saw you or anyone saying this. Or is there something behind what you say? Anyway, bless my sister. A love, ”he replied.
