It’s no secret that media personality Maps Maponyane and rapper Boity share a close bond with each other.

Fans of both stars have long questioned whether that bond they share is between friends or lovers.

As much as the two of you have rejected suggestions that they are a couple or that they should at least become a couple, a mother knows otherwise.

On Twitter this past weekend, Maps posted a video of her mother, Sylvia Maponyane, thanking Boity for a gift she received from the rapper.

In the video, Sylvia is seen carrying a Boity-branded gift bag, exactly the kind the star packs her newly launched fragrance in.

Visibly happy for the gift Boity sent her, Sylvia says: “Thank you Boity, thank you Boitumelo, thank you, my love, thank you ngwetsi yaka (my daughter-in-law), I love you.”

Responding to the tweet, Boity responded by saying, “Tell mom I love her too! A lot! I hope you enjoy the treats. “

Last month, Maps celebrated Boity’s launch of its own fragrance, Pink Sapphire.

On Instagram, the former host of “Top Billing” uploaded a series of photos that were taken at the launch of the Boity fragrance.

“After a dope launch and pre-order selling, I couldn’t be more proud of you for creating this world-class @boity fragrance. You’ve put your heart and soul into it, and it’s beautiful to see how #BoityPinkSapphire is now a reality, ”she said in the caption.

Earlier this year, the couple started talking when Maps responded to Boity about her desire to date a rich man.

“I can’t wait for my husband to leave R100K on my dresser for brunch with the girls,” hitmaker ‘Bakae’ tweeted to which Maps replied, “I have to go to work.”
