DURBAN – Multiple people are being treated after at least two explosions at a factory in the Pinetown area of New Germany.
The cause of the explosions, which occurred Tuesday morning, is not yet known.
Advanced life support paramedics spokesman Garrith Jamieson said the fire was still active at the scene, but multiple emergency response teams were present trying to contain the blaze.
“Several people have been injured and stabilized at the scene by various ambulance services. Some are on their way to the hospital and others are being treated there by KZN’s VIP Ambulance Service, ”said Jamieson.
