Provincial police spokesman Colonel Thembeka Mbele said on Saturday around 11.30pm, members of uMhlaki K9 Search & Rescue and Durban Search & Rescue went out to the Molokholo area in Ndwedwe to retrieve the man’s decomposing body.
She said the man was said to have been last seen on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at his home.
“The deceased was located approximately 200 meters from his home in a reed-covered swamp with multiple wounds to the chest and abdomen.”

Mbele said the body was hauled out of the swamp and carried up a steep embankment to road level and handed over to members of Ndwedwe Saps at the scene. A murder case is being investigated.
