JOHANNESBURG – South African airline Mango may be forced to suspend all flights as of midnight after SAA Technical decided to withdraw its services due to non-payment.
This means that passengers could be stranded starting Sunday after the commercial airline failed to pay SAA Technical for its services.
SAA spokeswoman Tladi Tladi told eNCA that the subsidiary, which provides aircraft maintenance services to a large number of commercial airlines, has not received any payment for the services provided.
“The situation is undesirable and we hope that the parties can meet us at the table. The reality is that SAA Technical, as a company registered by itself, pursues its commercial interests and has a responsibility to ensure that its clients can pay for the services rendered.
