Manchester United vs Real Sociedad confirmed as Amad and Shola Shoretire included

Eric Bailly and Dean Henderson could return to Manchester United for Thursday night’s clash with Real Sociedad, after being included in the game’s traveling squad.

Young Amad and Shola Shoretire can also debut in the first team after being included in the group to travel to Italy.

United flies this afternoon to Turin, where the first leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League is played due to the travel restrictions of the covid-19 in Spain. The return leg will be played at Old Trafford on February 25.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sure to make changes as United juggle league and European commitments, with Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe and young new signing Amad among the others on the squad who could be starters.

Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani will not travel, after suffering muscle injuries, while Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial are part of the squad but both are doubtful for the match.

Before setting off on the journey, midfielder Fred warned his United teammates to expect a difficult match against the Society, but reiterated the club’s goal of reaching the end of the competition.

“I think it’s going to be a great game against Real Sociedad, they have been having a great season in Spain,” he told Inside United. “We know how to expect a difficult match, but we are going for victory.

“We want to win the Europa League. We know how important it is to us, so we will do our best in the game and have our best season in the Europa League to lift the trophy. “
